What Is This Kit?
Everything you need to submit your fingerprints to the FBI and obtain an official Identity History Summary (FBI background check / "rap sheet") by mail — printed, organized, and ready to use. Designed for both U.S. and international applicants. Every FBI form in this kit is the official, current version, sourced directly from fbi.gov. How It Works
- Order the kit. Complete the order form below. We will ship via FedEx within 1 business day.
- Receive your kit in the mail. Domestic FedEx delivery typically arrives in 2–3 business days; international in 3–5 business days.
- Read the Instruction Booklet first. The 17-page booklet (Component 02) walks you through every step.
- Get your fingerprints rolled. You can do this yourself at home using fingerprint ink and the FD-258 cards included in the kit (full instructions are in the Instruction Booklet) — or use a professional fingerprinting service such as your local police station, a UPS Store, or any other approved provider.
- Complete the FBI forms. Fill out Form 1-783 and the Form 1-786 credit-card payment slip for the $18 FBI processing fee.
- Mail the package to the FBI. Use the pre-addressed mailing label provided. The FBI typically responds within 2–4 weeks.
