Four Services, One Counter

South Florida Has the Documents. Tallahassee Has the Seal.

That gap is the whole problem with getting a Florida apostille from Broward County. The people, the businesses, the consulates and the international traffic are down here; the office that issues the certificate is 450 miles north. Most services close that gap by mailing your original up and hoping. We close it with a Tallahassee office that walks documents in.

So you deal with Suite 1700 — intake, notarization, translation, questions — and the filing happens at the capital without the original spending a week in transit each way. $120 flat for federal apostilles with the government fee included, and {{FL_PRICE}} for Florida state-level apostilles.

What We Do

Services at the Fort Lauderdale Office

Expedited Florida Apostille

Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach documents filed with the Florida Department of State — lodged in person by our Tallahassee office instead of mailed from South Florida and back.

Federal Apostille

FBI reports, naturalization and citizenship certificates, federal court records, Form 6166 and discharge papers — authenticated only in Washington, where our DC office hand-delivers them.

Notary Public

Powers of attorney, affidavits, single-status letters, travel consent forms and corporate signings — executed here in the wording Florida requires if an apostille is going on top afterwards.

Certified Translation

Signed certificates of accuracy for consulates, immigration authorities and foreign registries — Spanish, Portuguese and Haitian Creole among the languages this office handles most often.

Marine & Vessel Documents

Bills of sale, builder's certificates, protocols of delivery, corporate ownership papers and Coast Guard documentation for yachts flagging or transferring offshore — routine work in a city built around the marine trade.

Vital Records & Corporate

Florida birth, marriage and death certificates, plus certificates of status, articles and resolutions. The state only apostilles a properly certified copy — we check yours qualifies before it travels.

Simple · Tracked · Reliable

Downtown Intake, Capital Filing

You never have to think about the 450 miles. What you do here is hand the document over and answer a few questions about where it is going; what happens after that is a routing decision, a certification or two, and a filing made in person at the right counter. Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Las Olas, Victoria Park and Flagler Village are all a short walk from the lobby.

Location Advantage

What South Florida Documents Usually Need

This office sees a particular mix — international families, offshore businesses and the marine trade — and the same four things account for most of the delays.

  • Someone at the counter in Tallahassee Mailing an original 450 miles and waiting for it to come back is the slow part of a Florida apostille. Our own office files it there in person.
  • Translation that is done in the right order Some countries want the translation apostilled too, others want it attached afterwards. Translating and filing in one place means the sequence is right the first time.
  • Apostille or full legalization, settled early Much of this region's traffic goes to Latin America and the Caribbean, where some destinations take an apostille and others need a consular chain. We check before you pay.
  • Both governments handled together A Florida marriage certificate and an FBI report travel in the same visa file and take completely different routes. Neither one has to leave us.
Questions & Answers

110 East Broward Boulevard Office — Common Questions

Where is the Fort Lauderdale office?
110 E Broward Blvd, Suite 1700, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 — downtown at Broward Boulevard and Andrews Avenue, minutes from the Broward County Courthouse and a short walk from Las Olas.
Can a Florida apostille be issued in Broward County?
No. Florida issues every one of its apostilles through the Department of State in Tallahassee — there is no Broward, Miami-Dade or Palm Beach counter that can do it. The practical question is who makes that trip, and for our clients the answer is our own Tallahassee office rather than the postal service.
How much does it cost?
Federal apostilles are a flat $120 per document, government fee included. Florida state-level apostilles are {{FL_PRICE}}. Notary work and translation are priced alongside the job, so the number you are given at the start is the number you pay.
Which of my documents is state and which is federal?
Go by the issuer. Anything from a Florida agency, court, school or notary is a state matter, handled in Tallahassee. Anything from Washington — an FBI report, a naturalization certificate, an IRS letter, a federal court order, military records — is federal and can only be authenticated there. Send both; separating them is our job.
Do you handle documents in Spanish, Portuguese or Creole?
Yes, and they are among the most common here. Certified translation comes with a signed certificate of accuracy in the form consulates and immigration authorities expect. Tell us the destination country and we will confirm whether the translation itself also needs to be authenticated.
Can you help with yacht and vessel paperwork?
Yes. Bills of sale, builder's certificates, protocols of delivery and acceptance, corporate ownership documents and Coast Guard paperwork all come through this office regularly. Flag registries are particular about form and sequence, so tell us the registry and we will prepare the set to match what it will accept.
What if the destination country doesn't take apostilles?
Then the document needs a legalization chain — Florida or federal authentication, then the U.S. Department of State, then that country's embassy or consulate. South Florida sends a great deal of paperwork to exactly those destinations, so this is familiar ground. Name the country and we will lay out the steps and the realistic timeline before committing you to anything.
